We greet a stranger. We send an email to a colleague. We text a message to a friend. We post on social media for all to see. We perform these daily routines without a second thought.

We rarely acknowledge the power of a single word, a single gesture that shows someone that you still care.

With the second-ever TEDxPaceAcademy event, students, faculty, alumni, and special guests will convene to share their ideas worth spreading about The Force of Words. Learn more about the event here.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxPaceAcademy, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxPaceAcademy event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. Learn more about TEDx here
